NDP 2009 PLEDGE MOMENT

Firstly, school is reopening next Monday. Make sure all your homework are completed fully, and bring them on the first day of school (or the first lesson of that particular subject). Please follow the old time-table.

Secondly, on the first day of school, you are to bring the following items (COMPULSORY):
- Working Digital Thermometer
- Completed Travel Declaration Form
- Report book with signed MYE Result Slip
- SS Resource Package (for SS Timed-Practice during Time-Tabled time)
- Homework
- List will be updated.

Thirdly, please take good care of your health these few days due to the uprising cases of the H1N1 flu. Also, mother tongue O Level Oral is starting when school re-open. We will be perhaps the first class for the oral, so all the best!

A Sergeant in the army called out his battalion as they stood in line he started giving out the mail.

He started, "Private John!"

"Yes Sir!," John answered as he stepped forward.

With tears in eyes, Private John went back in line."

"Private Peter!," he called out again."

Yes sir.," answered the Private.

"Your brother was involved in an accident; he broke his legs and arms and died screaming out in pain like a baby."

Just then a General who was passing by called the Sergeant and told him to be more humane when he is distributing mails to the junior officers. The next morning he gathered the men as usual. He brought out the first letter, looked at it and did not know what to say because the General was watching this time. He finally said to his men, "If you know your father is alive move to the right."

As all the men were moving to the right.. He shouted, "Private Kingsley! Move to the left quickly!!!"

A new vacuum cleaner salesman knocked on the door on the first house of the street.
A tall lady answered the door.

Before she could speak, the enthusiastic salesman barged into the living room and opened a big black plastic bag and poured all the cow droppings onto the carpet.

"Madam , if I could not clean this up with the use of this new powerful vacuum cleaner, I will EAT all this S...!" exclaimed the eager salesman.

"Do you need chili sauce or ketchup with that?" asked the lady.

The bewildered salesman asked, "Why, madam?"

"There's no electricity in the house..." said the lady.

After completing a jigsaw puzzle he's been working on for quite some time, Ah Beng proudly shows off the finished puzzle to a friend.

"It took me only 5 MONTHS to do it,” Ah Beng brags.

"Five months! That's too long!" the friend exclaims.

"You are a fool," Ah Beng replies. "See this box, it is written here 'From 4 to 7 years'."

Ah Beng talked to a long-distance telephone operator.
Ah Beng: "Could you please tell me the time difference between Taipei and Las Vegas?”
Operator: "Just a minute…….”
Ah Beng: "Thank you", and ended the call.

Ah Beng wants to buy a TV set. He goes to a shop.
Ah Beng: "Do you have color TV?"
Salesgirl: "Yes!"
Ah Beng: "Give me a green one, please."

The young clerk's responsibilities included bringing the judge a hot cup of coffee at the start of every day. Each morning the judge was enraged that the coffee cup arrived two-thirds full. The clerk explained that he had to rush to get the coffee delivered while it was still hot, which caused him to spill much of it along the way.

None of the judge's yelling and insults produced a full cup of coffee, until he finally threatened to cut the clerk's pay by one-third if he continued to produce one-third less than the judge wanted. The next morning he was greeted with a cup of coffee that was full to the brim, and the next morning and the morning after that.

The judge couldn't resist gloating over his success and smugly complimented the clerk on his new technique. "Oh, there's not much to it," admitted the clerk happily, "I take some coffee in my mouth right outside the coffee room, and spit it back in when I get outside your office.

Exams are finally over, but it's not the end of the journey, there's still a long long way to go, but getting shorter as eah day passes by. 18 more days to MT O LEVEL!

Alright people, some of us are going out on friday so if you want to come, it be GREAT! and do tell me who is going with us. By the way, this is also to strengthen our class spirit and show the world who we are.

We will meet at CDANS(HomeTeamNS @ Bukit Batok) at 3pm. So after social studies, you hommeys can go home first to change and we will meet at CDANS at Bukit Batok at 3pm. At CDANS, we will be playing bowling and for some of you who thinks you can't bowl, don't worry Mr Cheok is a profesional and do come for support and fun even if you can't bowl. After that we might play laser quest as Mr Cheok says he is good in shooting games. Then we be going to westmall for dinner. After dinner, we be catching a movie. After movie, home sweet home.

I've confirmed the extra lessons' schedule with the relevant teachers, and there's a small modifications, so please use this updated schedule.

There'll be NO Maths lesson during the December holidays, but you have to memorise AMaths Textbook Page 180 (Proving of Identities) Table 6.1.

Hey guys!

How's your holiday so far - Interesting? Boring? Tiring? Stressful? Or is it still the old holidays that you have so far? But nevertheless, we are not machines, but humans, so we need a rest. Therefore, despite the failure of the chalet, we will be still having a class BBQ this December. I'll post up the details up again once confirmed.

Have you guys done your homeworks? Although it's much, but it's worth doing all those homeworks. I bet the band members are quite familiar with this phrase "Do a little bit more to do a lot less". This phrase can be applied to music, education and your future in the society. If you can do a little bit more, like doing all your homework and paying attention during lesson, you can do a lot less during your O Level - don't feel so stress. If you do your very best starting today towards the 'O' Level, despite what results you get at the end of the day, most of you will still feel statisifed because you know that you have done your best.

Well, I think I posted enough. Stay updated for the class BBQ, and work together as a class towards the upcoming 'O' Level in late October next year!

Here to share with you some jokes, despite of all the holiday homeworks!

In Singapore, the majority of us live in Highly Dangerous Buildings (HDB), And most people have already got used to Paying and Paying(PAP). Not only do you have to pay, you Pay Until Bankrupt(PUB). If that's not enough, somebody still Purposely Wants to Dig(PWD)and get more from you. So what more can you do when you are in the Money Only Environment ( MOE)? With the current Mad Accounting System(MAS), you are forced to Pay the Sum Ahead(PSA),Which will leave some people Permanently Owing Some Banks (POSB). And forced to live on the Loan Techniques Always(LTA) system. When you fall sick and happen to be admitted to a Money Operating Hospital(MOH),You might be able to use your Cash Prior to Funeral(CPF)fund. If you are out of luck, you may meet doctors who Never Use Heart (NUH)to treat you, And you will be Sure to Give up Hope(SGH). To help ease the traffic, motorists have to pay Cash On Expressway(COE). If that doesn't help, they can always Eternally Raise Prices(ERP)on the roads. If you don't own a car, you can always make a Mad Rush to the Train (MRT), OR get squashed in a bus Side By Side(SBS). Lastly, under all these pressures, there are not many places we can relax, not even the good old place we used to go because it has become So Expensive and Nothing To See Actually (SENTOSA)!!!

Ah Beng goes to a store and sees a shiny object.

Salesgirl: "That is a thermos flask."

The next day, Ah Beng goes to work with his thermo flask
Boss : "What is that shiny object?"

a commercial jet crashed in the middle of a desert, leaving 3 survivors: an american, an englishman and a singaporean. after they scrambled out of the crash site, they were lost, hungry and thirsty, so they decided to look for civilisation and walked in a random direction. along the way, the american kicked a lamp (containing a genie, as usual) and a genie appeared!

the genie said, "thank you for freeing me! i am a powerful genie, i will grant you 3 wishes each! what would you like me to grant?"

the american, being the one who kicked the lamp, immediately said, "i want 1 million dollars!"
*poof* one million dollars appeared."i want a hot babe!"
*poof* a hot babe appeared.
"hmmm, i wanna enjoy all these at home, i wanna go home!"
*poof* he disappeared and appeared at home with all the stuff!!

the englishman, amazed, immediately followed, "I want to own a bank!"
*poof* he owned standard chartered.
"i want the coolest sports car!"
*poof* the coolest sports car appeared.
"hmmm, i wanna enjoy all these at home, send me home with them!"
*poof* he was back home with all the goodies!!

the singaporean, being more pragmatic, said, "i'm hungry, i want hokkien mee, char kway teow, laksa, bak kut teh and durians!"
*poof* the glorious food appeared.
"i'm thirsty, i want sugar cane juice, grass jelly drink, tao huay and coffee bucks ultimate ice-blended!"
*poof* the drinks appeared.
"hmmm, so many things to eat and drink! i want the american and englishman to enjoy these goodies with me!"
*poof* the american and englishman were back at the desert!!

after they finally finished the food (unwillingly, of course, by the american and englishman), they continued their aimless, random walk. this time, the englishman kicked a lamp, and a genie appeared!!

the genie said, "thank you for freeing me! i'm a less powerful genie, but i can still grant you two wishes each! what would you like me to grant?"

the american and british discussed among themselves; they should let the singaporean make his wishes first in case he brought them back again!! so they persuaded him to be the first 'wisher'.

the singaporean said, "hmmm, ok, i would like to have a hot babe!"
*poof* a hot babe appeared.
"hmmm, that's rather enough for me... ok that's all, you may leave now!"
*poof* the genie disappeared!!!

almost to the brink of insanity, the american and the englishman trudged along unwillingly, this time refusing to talk to the singaporean after their failed attempts to leave. and worse still, they had to endure watching the singaporean making out with his hot babe! after another day of walking, as expected, the singaporean kicked a lamp this time and a genie appeared!

the genie said, "thank you for freeing me! i'm the lousiest genie, i can only grant you each a wish! choose carefully, because i'm the last genie you'll meet here in this desert!"

the american and englishman both decided that they had enough of all these games, and they'd be trapped here anyway, so they both wished for a hot babe each (not to lose out to the singaporean of course!) and *poof*, two hot babes appeared!

the singaporean, watching in amazement, said to the genie, "that's so good! but unfortunately, i'm bored now, and i wish to go home."
*poof* the singaporean and his hot babe were home!!!

He will be going on a free study trip to the National Science Learning Centre at York, UK!

Those who did not attend the competition as an audience this afternoon, you miss out quite the fun. The atmosphere when Mr. Tan was presenting was like the most wonderful throughout the whole competition. Really appreciates those who had attended the competition - JunJie, Alfred, Aidil, Justin, JiaYi, JiaXin, Mages, WeiNi, Shahira, Aqilah, Faeza.
